Hello Titleist Velocity, Nice to Meet You

Titleist also announced that the Velocity has gone under a complete overhaul. Every component of the new Titleist Velocity golf ball has been engineered for maximum velocity (see what we did there?) including new aerodynamic and core technologies which has made this ball even longer.Yes, even longer.

Hat’s off to Titleist’s R & D department who worked along with real golfer feedback to design the new innovations that went into the 2020 Velocity model. Those changes include:

  • The invention of a –spherically-tiled 350 octahedral dimple design– which in my pea-brain means, this ball has been designed to produces a more consistent high-flying trajectory for longer distance – which is something I crave in my golf game! Show me any golfer that wouldn’t want that please; I’ll wait.
  • They added a larger, higher speed LSX core which generates fast initial velocity to aid with low spin on full swing shots so that we can squeeze out every inch of distance out there!
  • What I also learned is that the increased core size adds spin so that we can get our approach shots to stop on a dime.

Golfers can now choose from Matte Pink (play numbers #1-4), Matte Green (#00-11-22-33), and Matte Orange (#00-11-22-33), in addition to standard white (#1-4).

If you think I won’t play a pink ball, you’re wrong…Velocity_ball_pink_nameplate
