Taylormade Japan Gloire Fairway Wood is made to match the new Gloire line of clubs that combine great distance with forgiveness. The Gloire Fairway Wood features a full 6-4 titanium construction with a high strength titanium face for a very crisp feel and strong launch. It features a slightly smaller head size than the previous model for easy control and a lower profile design to help launch the ball higher. The face shape is a new design that matchs the driver's more oval shape which helped create a larger hitting area for added forgiveness.

The new Gloire Fairway Wood features a "Speed Pocket" design. This refers to the weight port and channel in the sole of the club that helps create a strong high launch. It has 2, 18gram weight screws that helps lower the center of gravity for an easy high launch. The channel is located close to the face which assists in adding a great rebound effect at impact to help maximize ball speed at impact. The channel also helps absorb some vibrations at impact to create a consistent feel with each shot.

The new Gloire Fairway Wood comes standard with a new GL2200 carbon shaft. It features a new "Nanoalloy" technology which is a special weaving pattern of the carbon sheets which helps prevent deformation during motion. This allows the shaft to have a very consistent feel with a smooth, soft feel with each swing.

Available in 15, 18 or 21 degree lofts.
