The concept of "no-mindedness"

The thorough elimination of distraction was at the forefront of the club development philosophy of Kenji Kobayashi, who believes that "Golf is a club-swinging competition".
His efforts were to create a club which can be passively swung, free from obstructive thoughts.
So, Kobayashi believed that being able to imagine the ideal trajectory at the set up was more important than anything else. The matte black finish is a sign of function and self-confidence over "being appealing" despite having an attractive clubhead.

450cc=compact head

The volume of the XV Driver head is 450cc. The crown has been raised at the rear of the head and the shape near the heel has been trimmed in pursuit of a head that is visually compact.

Ultra-shortdistance of COG from the shaft

An unprecedented short COG location from the shaft has been achieved by optimal weight distribution. The depth and height of the COG also suppresses excessive head turn. "A club that hits the ball solidly yet doesn't send it flying off the target line" Kobayashi's goal results in a new form of offense.

Active head construction

The crown adopts β type titanium (15-3-3-3) with optimized thickness by chemical milling. The uniquely shaped cup-shaped face which increases stability of the clubhead at off-center shots to keep the trajectory straight to the target."
