The XXIO 14 Ladies Hybrid is engineered for ease of use, high launch, and consistent distance, making it a reliable club for long approach shots and tricky lies.
A key structural feature is the WING CANNON SOLE . This design features a hollow space carved out beneath the clubface, thinning the sole to promote greater face deflection, which in turn increases initial ball speed. The construction also optimizes forgiveness: mass is added toward the toe and heel and positioned forward, contributing to an extremely low center of gravity (CG).
The club’s distance generation is further enhanced by the Edge Cup Face. This face structure features a reinforced, rigid perimeter at the welded edge, which collects energy upon impact . The resulting energy is transferred to the thinned-out crown area behind the face, allowing it to flex significantly and boost initial ball speed. The face itself is constructed from HT1770M High Strength Steel.
To improve strike consistency, the hybrid utilizes the ActivWing feature . This aerodynamic design places raised steps high and near the clubhead's outline. Its purpose is to stabilize the clubhead during the downswing by managing airflow, which helps guide the clubface into a more consistent and centered impact position. Complementing this, a High Grip Milled Pattern uses fine laser milling on the toe and heel of the face. This pattern is intended to prevent the ball from slipping and to maintain the gear effect on off-center or wet strikes, helping the shot stay straighter.
Finally, the proprietary Weight Plus Technology is utilized within the club's grip system. This counterweight at the end of the shaft helps stabilize the swing path, making it easier for the golfer to achieve an ideal top-of-swing position and square the clubface at impact for more consistent results.
